Diamonds The Four C’sUpdated 22 days ago
When researching diamond rings you will come across endless guides to the Four C’s. Determining the quality of a gemstone involves what jewellers refer to as the “Four C’s” : Cut, Carat, Clarity and Colour.
We individually select all of our diamonds to find the optimal combination of cut, colour, carat and clarity that will ensure the natural beauty of these stunning stones shines brightly. Every diamond of 0.5ct or greater is independently certified by internationally recognised gemological institutes. We source exquisite Cuts, with D-F Colour, VSI or better Clarity and Carat as required. We also offer bespoke sourcing on request to meet your specific diamond requirements on request.
Cut
The cut is the specific cut of each stone, such as round, oval, emerald or cushion. Each particular cut sparkles in its own distinct way and is an important factor to help determine the style and shape your ring.
Colour
This refers to the colour quality of the stone. With White or Classic Diamonds you want a completely colourless stone, while with our Grey Diamonds we look for more intriguing stones. Like a fingerprint, no two grey diamonds are alike, and can feature a galaxy of carbon inclusions and range in shades from opalescent white, silky grey, to dark and stormy tones.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the number of inclusions in a gemstone. with White or Classic Diamonds we look for no visible inclusions. Whereas with our Grey Diamonds, we look for the most beautiful inclusions, like a scattering of stars sparkling in the night sky,
Carat
Carat is a measurement of weight, not love. It is simply what the precious stone weighs in metric carats which are a unit of measurement like kilos or pounds.
